Anne Nylander, founder. Coffee enthusiast since birth, Anne plunged into a coffee career in 2006. Since then, she's attended 5 regional and national coffee events, attended SCAA skill-building workshops, and probably stopped in your town last year on a cross country coffee crawl. Along with the work at TempTamp, Anne is an organizer for the New York Coffee Society, a coffee enthusiast group in New York City.
Dan Griffin, TempTamp Ambassador. Our resident southern gentleman, Dan is notorious for bringing fun to the coffee workplace. Dan's been all over the country making coffee - from The Albina Press to Cafe Fiore to New York, where's he's helped open several successful cafes. Dan is also ridiculously good at pouring latte art.
Neil Oney, TempTamp Administrator. Prior to 2005 Neil never touched the stuff, but now he hopes to find a career in coffee that suits him. Neil has also attended several coffee events around the region, and joined Anne on her coffee-crawl. Neil is the tallest member of the TempTamp team.
About TempTamp:
TempTamp is a new company dedicated to providing excellent temporary barista service to NYC's coffee shops.
Hiring a TempTamp barista is cost effective for your business. We take care of paperwork, payroll duties, employment taxes, and training. Our baristas have worked in several cafes in New York and around the United States, and are certified to work as TempTamps.
TempTamp employees are comfortable with all major specialty coffee equipment, including, but not limited to, La Marzocco, Synesso, commercial grinders, Clover coffee brewers, Fetco. They are familiar with most major specialty roasters, and keep abreast of their current offerings.
We have a regular staff of temporary employees, who are available to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you have gaps in your schedule, but don't want to hire and train a new barista, or if one of your baristas is sick or has an emergency, TempTamp will be there.
In addition, TempTamp is happy to assist with facilitating Barista Exchanges around New York City. Both employees will agree to work for a pre-determined time and pay rate, that will be provided by TempTamp. TempTamp will be responsible for each employee as they work at their host shops. If necessary, baristas will be tested prior to the exchange to determine their skill set. Owners will then pay TempTamp a small fee for its service.
This is a reliable and responsible way to facilitate an exciting opportunity for baristas. During exchanges, baristas will learn new skills and discover interesting ideas that previously were not thought of before. Cafes will have a unique opportunity to foster the growth of their employees as well as embrace the larger coffee community.

Sustainability
TempTamp Inc. is committed to sustainability. We seek the highest quality, artisnal ingredients which by nature must be sustainable. These are the things we love, and we, like those producers we work with, will try to protect and sustain them for the future.
Furthermore, TempTamp Inc wishes to operate an environmentally sound business. We wish to buy green energy. We recommend that our customers compost all compostable waste and recycle all recyclable goods to reduce our impact on the planet. We encourage our employees and vendors to follow our lead.
Education
TempTamp Inc wishes to have the most educated staff and customers in possible. We want our staff and customers to ambassadors of coffee, food, and sustainability. We wish to cultivate an atmosphere of understanding and enlightenment, and hope our staff and customers will strive to learn, and teach what they have learned, every day.
